Amp hook ups, ask a question
Four signal out on the ESP active cross over. Perform the power up test described under "Initial Tests on the Completed Amplifier" and "Setting the Bias Current" located at the Construction portion of the Leach web site.
The difference between high and low pass amplitude, for either channel, depends on the speaker enclosure.
Connect channel two of the oscilloscope to the left channel LC low pass on bi-amp selector switch S2 and ground the probe to signal ground. Here is what I did and in the order I did it.
Check the OS volume level before connecting headphones. This selector switch toggles Irip free alternative dating amp input between bi-amp mode and 4 channel stereo mode.
Full hook ups?
Route the leads from the power transistors and bias diodes between the bottom standoffs. Set the bi-amp selector switch S2 to the 4-channel stereo position this isolates the active cross over output signal from the Leach amp PCB's.
Route and connect the ground lead directly to the ground connection on the voltage regulator PCB. Some deluxe parks also include hookups for cable television and telephone lines.
